Microsoft Unveils AI Agent to Personalize Windows 11 Settings
By Netvora Tech News
Microsoft has launched an AI agent that can assist users in personalizing their Windows 11 settings. The AI agent, which is designed to understand users' intentions and preferences, can describe the recommended steps to achieve the desired changes and, with user consent, execute those steps automatically.
How It Works
The AI agent uses on-device AI to understand users' goals and, with their permission, automates and executes tasks. Users can describe what help they need or what changes they want to make, and the AI agent will provide the recommended steps. With user consent, the AI agent can even perform those steps automatically.
The feature is initially available for Windows Insiders with Snapdragon Copilot+ PCs. Later, systems with AMD and Intel processors will also receive the update. For now, only English language inputs are supported.
New Features and Concerns
Microsoft is also introducing new features to Notepad, including the ability to generate text. However, the company collects user information when users log in to use AI features, raising concerns about data privacy.
This development comes as Amazon recently announced an AI agent that can execute tasks in users' browsers. As AI technology continues to advance, concerns about data privacy and user control are becoming increasingly important.
