Data Leads to Arrest of DDOS Suspects in Poland
By Netvora Tech News
The Polish authorities have arrested four suspects accused of running DDOS services, thanks in part to data provided by the Dutch police. The suspects allegedly operated six different "stresser/booter" services, allowing customers to launch DDOS attacks against educational institutions, government agencies, businesses, and gaming platforms.
The services, which were used from 2022 to this year, reportedly charged customers as little as €10 for attacks. Europol, the European Union's law enforcement agency, confirmed that the attacks were carried out using the services.
Data Sharing Key to Arrests
The Dutch police discovered information on servers seized from DDOS services hosted in Dutch data centers, which was then shared with international partners, including Poland, Europol said. This led to the identification of the four suspects and their subsequent arrest.
