Data-Driven Decision-Making: A Survival Imperative
By Netvora Tech News
Data-driven decision-making is no longer a luxury, but a necessity for business leaders. According to a recent Salesforce survey, a staggering 76% of executives feel intense pressure to back their arguments with data. However, despite the growing volume of raw business data, leaders' confidence in using their data for decision-making has taken a significant hit, dropping 18% from 2023 to less than half of leaders overall. This uncertainty is crippling executives' ability to navigate today's uncertain business landscape. With the stakes higher than ever, leaders need reliable data insights to inform their decisions, but many struggle to access and make sense of the data they have. "The reality is that most executives don't have their own data analysts on call," says Southard Jones, chief product officer of Tableau. "They also don't have the training they need to be confident that they and their team are using the right data to make the right decisions, especially as these decisions become more complex and involved."
